Young Melbourne emcees Selby and Dex have teamed up on a deep new song, Told U.
While Dex has been making huge waves throughout Australia recently, Selby has been a little quieter, although he has not lost any of his talent. Over a moving piano progression and a classic boom-bap loop, the young rappers dwell on their current emotions and thoughts while reminiscing on the past.
Selby sounds comfortable on the track, with his eccentric vocal tone and clean multi’s the perfect contrast to the content he’s spitting. Dex then enters, featuring on a wavy hook and a dope, concise second verse that has him playing with his flow, provoking an emotive response from the listener.
Hopefully we hear more from these two in the near future.
