It is far too often that artists on the come-up don’t get the recognition they deserve, here are five underground Australian Hip-Hop songs that deserve more shine.
DOS BOY – SKINNY JEANS
Dos Boy‘s Skinny Jeans is a playful track that has Dos Boy spitting flawless verses over a poppy Hamley piano loop. Dos Boy’s character is portrayed to perfection with Skinny Jeans, showing off the young rappers charismatic aura with a catchy hook.
If you can make a hit about skinny jeans, you can do anything.
KING$TON – BE QUIET
King$ton shows huge potential on his new song Be Quiet, a melodic, auto-tuned trap banger. King$ton not only has this killer ability to nail melodies, he also has a seriously impressive pen game, flowing effortlessly across unique rhyme schemes.
Our only hope is that we see much, much more of Kingston in 2017.

LIL SPACELY – SHOW LOVE
If you haven’t heard of Lil Spacely before, you’re missing out. The Sydney rapper flex’s a hyped energy on his new song, Show Love, going HAM in the second verse with choppy, savage bars that leave you with ‘dat stank face.
Spacely is on one.
FLYE. – CUTT
Flye. is another New South Wales emcee who shows huge potential on his new single, Cutt. The young rapper spits better and better as the song progresses, with emotional bars accompanied by an insane flow towards the back-end of the track.
If Flye keeps up this standard of rapping in 2017, he’s in for a big one.

DREAM$TEAM – WHY
Dream$Team is a rapper/producer duo coming out of the vibrant Adelaide hip-hop scene, and Why is the most impressive and progressive single to come from the pair’s recent string of releases. In comparison to their usual trap sound, Dream$Team experiment with a much more mellow and soulful sound on Why, and it works.
We are on the Dream$Team bandwagon and hope you are too. Why is a tune.
