Johniepee is a newcomer onto the Hip-Hop scene in Australia, and although his name may be unfamiliar to many right now, he’s set to make huge waves across the country.
With a classic boom-bap style, Johniepee is bringing back an old sound in a fresh new way. His fast, confident flow and charismatic take on the genre is one that will most definitely be welcomed and embraced by the Hip-Hop scene in Australia.
Residing in Sydney, by way of Perth, the talented emcee works as a personal trainer, however, he’s currently opening up for Bliss N Eso on their sold out national tour, and things are beginning to change.
“Touring with guys I grew up listening too is a dream come true for me”
Johniepee is in the process of completing his debut EP, which is set to be released sometime this year. Considering the Sydney-based rapper is currently in the midst of supporting Australian Hip-Hop icons Bliss N Eso, it’s easy to see that only big things are ahead for Johniepee.
“I’m no longer a fulltime personal trainer, I’m a rapper who trains people on the side.”
You can catch him performing live on the 26th of February in Sydney, at the Fight For Corey show. Also, if you were lucky enough to snap-up a ticket to Bliss N Eso’s sold out Brisbane show on the 2nd of March, Johniepee will be kicking off the night in style.
