PREMIERE: Lazy J – Demons Between Us (ft. Taya Jaye)

Sydney rapper Lazy J has returned off the back of his latest project Gone A Minute Too Long, with a heartfelt new single, Demons Between Us, dedicated to the tumultuous relationship with his mother.

Featuring angelic vocals by way of Taya Jaye, Lazy J rides the J Dilla instrumental seamlessly over 24 bars, venting on the demons involving his relationship with his mother, “It’s been a minute since I kick it with my mum though.”

Following his raw and emotional verse, J bares all with some spoken word poetry, masked in layers of distortion that highlight his feelings of unimportance and irrelevance.

Lazy J has further revealed an extra layer to his already impressive 2017 catalog with Demons Between Us, a song that comes straight from the heart.
