Brisbane-based lyricist Skrub has come through with his second studio album, Long Story Short, following the immense success of his debut 2016 effort Skinned Alive.
With a distinct, punchline-heavy style, Skrub has already proven himself to be one of the countries most impressive and imposing emcee’s, regardless of age or acclaim.
The young rapper brings that notoriety, along with a mass of eclectic and eccentric sonic styles (and guests), with him on Long Story Short, delivering some wickedly wordy verses and chanting hooks over crisp production ranging from boom bap and grime, to g-funk and trap.
The Brisbane-based wordsmith’s latest full-length LP is a memorable listen that will only age well with time as he takes his wordplay and slick, succinct rhyming ability to yet another level.
