One of Brisbane’s more underrated creatives is Joey Legit, who raised the bar with the warm, sonic throwback that was Sleepy People, earlier this year. This one will flip your mood and have you reminiscing on your youth.
Sophiegrophy – Fa$t Life
WVS rapper Sophiegrophy fused pop, rap and some blissful melodies on her breakout single Fa$t Life, in what is a joyous club hit that displays Sophie’s extreme versatility as an emcee.
Erik Sanders – Forever Whatever
Who knew a break up song could be so upbeat. Erik Sanders‘ Forever Whatever is a bouncy, juke-influenced track that will swipe a smile on your face every time without fail.
Marksman Lloyd – Gene Simmons
Released alongside his Portals EP in 2017, Gene Simmons is the dance-inducing house party anthem that lifted the mood of Perth rapper Marksman Lloyd‘s already impressive catalog. A jam perfect for pre-drinks.
Midas.Gold – Poppin’
Aptly titled, Midas.Gold‘s Poppin’ is a celebratory anthem that blends the positive vibes of Chance The Rapper and SuperDuperKyle, with Midas’ own unique and super distinct sound. Banger.
K21 – Tequila Suicide (ft. Hilltop Hoods)
Some of Golden Era Records best teamed up earlier this year to deliver what is a quirky, feel-good hit, with K21‘s Tequila Suicide, featuring Australian legends Hilltop Hoods. Clever, creative, charismatic and so damn catchy.
