Triple One stole the game by surprise… well sort of, it was hardly a surprise.
Sydney supergroup Triple One made a name for themselves off the back of their distinct and diverse sound that often finds itself landing anywhere in between abrasive and buttery – and their most recent release most definitely falls under the latter.
Butter is a reflective, introspective and moving piece of work that combines the glossy, holistic production from Billy Gunns with an airy yet lavish Lil Dijon hook which teeters on the line of catchy and catchin’ feels.
What makes the polished new record stand out from the pack though, is that not only have Triple One found their sound and made it their own, they’ve managed to brush off all bravado in the process for what is one of the more honest and open Hip-Hop cuts of 2019.
Listen to Butter and discover for yourself why Triple One are touted as one of the savours of Australia’s burgeoning Hip-Hop scene.
